“There will always be weeds…”

“There will always be weeds, as long as there are flowers.”

Spring is HERE!

Even though we still have some chilly days, it seems it only takes one sunny day for spring plants to fly up from below! It’s exciting to see the growth begin, knowing that natures beauty will soon follow! However, also flying up from the ground are a plethora of weeds. My gardens have every weed known to man. Some are really stubborn and take a bit of work to loosen their hold, and some hold on so close to the surface I wonder how they made it through the last storm. I weed every year, and every year – they are back! They are a forever part of each garden.

Isn’t life like a garden? After a storm there is hope and new growth. Just when you see some beautiful times there are “weeds” that creep up making us aware that there is still…always…work to be done. Some of these have quite a hold on us and require great care and persistence to eliminate completely. Some are such a quick easy fix that we wonder why they bothered us at all. Acknowledging the work – the weeds – is the necessary part of the process that moves us forward. The first step if you will. Next, you go in boldly ready to conquer the tough ones, not forgetting the easy ones. Then – again – you can enjoy the Spring!
