“The guy in the corner of the ring”
Sometimes after you’ve been knocked down and gotten up repeatedly, it takes progressively less to knock you down. Like a fighter in the ring you start strong, then weaken with every blow. That’s when it’s time to dig deep down for the fighter deep within…deeper…deeper. That’s when it’s time to see who’s in your corner, look up, and listen to the voices that tell you that you got this, you will win!
Let’s go back to the fighter in the ring analogy. Who is that guy in the corner of the ring?
He’s the guy that tells you he believes in you even when you have doubts! He understands what you need, and he’s there.
He’s the guy with tough love when you’re not giving your best, and when you stoke up the fighter inside, he’s the guy who tells you he knew it was there all the time.
He’s there long before the fight helping you prepare.
He’s the guy who fixes your wounds, tells you that you’re ok and to get back out there and win – and when you do, he’s the guy holding your tired arms up in victory with tears of joy down his face.
We should all be in someone’s corner.
We should all be that guy.
We all need that guy.
