“A New NOT Normal”

As a society we have come to want things now and without a snag, but in life…there are snags. In the environment we are living in right now, (a year’s time of global “snag”) where so much is uncertain, we need to be more understanding of what doesn’t go according to plan, and so very very thankful for what does!

We have all been under unexpected stress for an exceptionally long time. We need to realize that the people we come in contact with everyday are all struggling with this new “normal.” I remind myself several times a day as I look around at masked faces that this is hard. This isn’t a new “normal,” this isn’t normal at all.

When was the last time that man shook hands with a buddy?

When was the last time that woman held her granddaughter?

When was the last time that child experienced a stranger’s smile?

What are the long-term effects of isolation?

Tomorrow is another day we can all be thankful, and give a pass to someone not coping so well.

I’m in!
