“When you need a Win”
Today I thought I’d share something I experienced several weeks ago. Three days in a row that did not go well left me feeling like I was walking around with a visible “L” on my forehead. I shared what I was feeling with a co-worker who gave me my answer instantly. “You need to get out of your own head.” She was right. I was letting three bad days take me down.
What was going to break the pattern? I needed a “Win.”
The next day I woke up and made the decision that I would be productive and feel good at the end of the day. But today, I did things different. Today, I had no “To Do” list. Today, would be a “No Fail,” day. I looked around at things that needed to be done and just did it! THEN, it went on the list. Yes folks, I made an “I DID list.”
At the end of the day the list was long and made me realize how much I do. There was nothing on this list left undone, and much was accomplished.
There is something that you do VERY well. Don’t Stop Doing That! Always go back to your win. Always realize your worth. Don’t ever compare your worst day to someone else’s best day. When you have bad days – get out of your head and go to your win. Because THAT is who you really are.
