“Waiting to Wander”
It has been a while since my thoughts could reach my pen - or keyboard if you will.
I've come to find that a free mind is my creative place. When my mind wanders, I can see and develop my thoughts. When I'm overwhelmed, I get stuck.
While taking care of some family obligations, I thought that I was waiting to have time to write.
Finally, a lot of time passed, I realized I was waiting to wander.
Sometimes the difficult things that we need to do can bring us to a place where we don't recognize ourselves anymore. You put yourself aside and pieces of you fall away like leaves from the trees in Autumn...a little at a time, till there is nothing left.
Then you notice the emptiness.
Can you find yourself again?
There is a way to get back to your normal, but I'm willing to bet you need a plan.
I'm also willing to bet you will emerge on the other side stronger for it all.
So, take a breath... take another... and focus on you.
I'm not saying be selfish, just give yourself time to recover.
The things you do for others, that only you can do, require one thing...YOU.
Do yourself a solid and do what it takes to be you again.
I promise – you’ll be glad you did.
