Happy Valentine’s Day
It’s Valentine’s Day.
Some people celebrate their love today.
Some people are sad because they have no significant other to celebrate with.
Some people are so blessed to have found their “one,” and that is certainly something to celebrate.
This day makes some of the others wonder when love will come.
To those, I say … (I have no clue) … BUT … How about all the ways that love is already here?
I think about all the friends that have touched my life with love. My siblings are utterly amazing people who REALLY love me. (Oh, thank you God, they REALLY do). I am blessed. The more I think about what I have – the less vacancy there is in my heart for what I don’t have. Although there is always room in my heart, I am full. I overflow.
Maybe Valentine’s Day is a good time to reflect on all love. A time to send a heart text to a friend who has been there for you. A time to remember the times that secretly carry your heart through the difficult times of life, and the people who were there for you. A time to say it, even if it’s just “thank you” for being my friend – just say it.
Say it because THAT is the stuff that carries us. Love is the stuff that carries us and sometimes it only takes a little bit to carry us for a long time. Even the memory of knowing love, is a powerful thing, because what was can be again.
I can’t write about love without thanking God for his love – for being love – for being the force behind it all for me.
Whoever you are – I am almost certain that if you think deep enough – love has been there, behind it all, helping you forward.
Be thankful for love.
Be true to love.
Let it carry you.
Don’t let it go.
Love is really…really… everything.
Everything else… is abundance.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
