“The Why and the Willing”

I decided to start looking at some roadblocks of life that seem to just hide there like a tiny speed bump. Sometimes we know exactly what needs to be done to move forward with something and it just doesn’t happen. It’s like we have the recipe for success, but we just don’t bother to gather the ingredients. There is something missing here that isn’t found by “the pump before the event.”

If I want to achieve a certain result in my life and I’m not doing the things that achieve those results, if I’m not taking those steps, maybe I don’t really want to do that. And if I feel like that is what I really want – then I need to evaluate the reasons I don’t do what I need to do.

If I know what needs to be done, and I don’t do it, who is stopping me? Is it me? You know, usually it is. Usually, it’s just me.

If I want to be who I want to be, I need to WANT to do the things I NEED to do.

I need to do them with joy, I need to do them with faith. I need to do them while telling myself what this means to me. The struggle is real people. You can’t just get pumped up and go out on the field. The fire NEEDS to be within, and the simple truth is:

A fire needs tending.

It won’t stay bright by itself.

It needs fuel.

It needs you.

It needs your “why.”

What you are willing to do, is tucked inside your why.

Know your WHY.
